Replika units
A Replika is a biomechanical humanoid manufactured by AEON. The four-letter designation encodes the frame, the neural pattern and the role the unit was built to fill; the casual name is the German word for a bird.

Notes on the registry
- Generation matters. Generation 2 units are cheap, heavy and everywhere; Generation 6 units are scarce, expensive and built around bioresonance. The gap between “worker” and “instrument” is where the game's politics sit.
- Variants. At least one combat variant of the MNHR frame — SAPR, Schwere Anti-Panzer Replika, nicknamed “Schnäpper” (flycatcher) — is described in a Replika overview document but never appears on screen.
- Maintenance. Replika blood is an oxidant, not blood; the emergency appendix of the Penrose manual is explicit that their engineered flesh is not food. Both facts are in the game as documents, and both are there for a reason.
- Naming convention. Every casual name is a German bird. The in-universe documents never explain why, which has not stopped anyone from theorising.
Where you meet them
Adlers administrate, Falkes command, Kolibris keep the room calm, Stars patrol the corridors, Storches run the patrols, Mynahs work the rock below the facility, Eules ran the canteens and the wards, Aras kept the machinery alive. The locations page maps which of them you run into where.
